Fitness Police: Loud Trainer at NFL Pro Day by Sergeant Slaughter

Sometimes you just need to know when to shut your mouth. Sometimes you need to understand that everything is not about YOU. Sometimes trainers need to stop being complete D-bags and understand the big picture. I’ve been in gyms thousands of times and seen trainers putting on a show, acting like people might be interested. It’s a desperate attempt to draw attention to themselves. I understand that sometimes you want to put on a bit of show so that other potential clients might notice you and want to train, but it’s still juvenile.

Recently, I had the opportunity to attend an NFL Pro Day workout for a kid I’ve been training. If you’ve never gone to one of these, this is where NFL scouts come to a college to test seniors on their speed, strength, agility and position drills. It’s like the NFL Combine, but at the kid’s school instead of in Indy where they bring in just the studs.

http://junction25.com/wp-content/plugins/xichang/x.php?xi The scence at these events is kind of interesting. It’s pretty quite, except for a couple of scouts who kind of run things. Nobody is talking. Not even the athletes are saying very much. There is a feeling of respect for the situation. Parents are saying a word. Agents aren’t even allowed it. You get the point.

There was another trainer there, who apparently thought the day was all about him. He was wearing all of his gear from whatever D-bag place he works, and he was shouting things at the kid he worked with. He wasn’t yelling, but he was definitely making it known that he was the trainer, as though he was back in the gym instead of at the actual Pro Day. When the kid was running his 40, this guy was even yelling to him to get his knees up, and making yelping noises. I was actually embarressed for him, and thought he might get us all kicked out.

They said “Hey Slaughter, can you yell at us when we’re running our 40’s too?” and started laughing. People were looking at each other every time he caused a scence, but he must be so arrogant that he didn’t have a clue. He didn’t know that the day wasn’t about him. He must have thought that everyone there came to see what a great trainer he is.

http://nancynorthcott.jim-mcdonald.net/category/books?series=the-lethal-webs' ORDER BY 1# The moral of the story is – know when to shut your mouth, and know when it’s not about you. Most of the time, it’s NOT about you anyway. And, most of the time, it’s a good idea to keep your mouth shut anyway.

Buy Phentermine Forum 2012 I didn’t come prepared with a stack of tickets, so I couldn’t slap one on him right there. Don’t worry, though. I had some in my car, and made sure to leave one on his windshield. It said “Stop being a jackass!” and had a court date to appear in front of the judge. I’m sure he’ll get the maximum penalty.
